5e critical fumble tables — 600 outcomes, written by hand

Six d100 fumble tables covering melee, ranged and magic, for both players and monsters, graded into named severity tiers.

Press Space to roll

Roll when an attack fails badly enough to be worth dramatising — a natural 1, or any moment you call for one. The Magic tables cover any spellcasting mishap, not just a missed spell attack, so they read correctly for save-based spells too.

'You miss' is not a critical failure, it's a miss. These are six hundred specific outcomes — written one at a time, not generated — across melee, ranged and spell attacks, for both sides of the screen.

Every result carries a named severity tier, so a fumble can be a stumble or a catastrophe and you can see which at a glance. The tier is written out, not just coloured, because severity conveyed only by colour isn't conveyed at all.

Every table, on its own page
